ESPAÑOLITA is a source of Spanish creativity, talent and travel inspiration created by Carmen Ruiz de Huidobro.

Carmen was born and raised in Madrid. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York. And works in Los Angeles as an assistant art director and set designer on various films, music videos and commercials for directors such as Milos Forman, Steven Spielberg,  Ridley and Tony Scott, Michel Gondry and Paul Thomas Anderson amongst others.  

After settling in Los Angeles in 2008 Carmen decided to take on different projects so she could spend time at home with her two kids. Inspired to see the interest Spanish culture sparked, she was determined to create a platform to house her vision and launched Españolita.net, which features individuals and places that she feels represent this unique sense of “Spanishness”.

All this inevitably inspired her to create experiential travels to her country, which she designs along with local culinary experts ensuring the guests do not miss anything.
